Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-09

These terms apply when you use Marsad. By creating an account or using the site you accept them.

The service

Marsad builds maps of research fields from scholarly databases and explains them, partly with AI. It is run by Marsad. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times.

Your account

Give a correct e-mail address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us (the administrator of this site (via the address you signed up with)) if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

Fair use

Use the site for research, study and teaching. Do not try to break or overload it, get around its limits or security, access other people's data, scrape it automatically, or use it for anything unlawful.

Daily limits apply to analyses and AI requests so the service stays available to everyone.

Your content

Your topics, notes, papers and questions remain yours. You let us store and process them only to provide the service to you (and to people you share a field with). You can delete them at any time.

Results and AI

Maps, trends, gaps and summaries are computed automatically from the metadata and abstracts available in public scholarly databases, and AI explanations can be incomplete or wrong. They are aids to your own reading and judgement, not facts, advice or a substitute for reading the papers. Always check important points against the cited sources.

Paper titles, abstracts and other metadata belong to their authors and publishers and are shown under the terms of the databases they come from.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions made on the basis of the results.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we will announce changes that matter on the site before they apply. Questions: the administrator of this site (via the address you signed up with).
